Hello and thanks for having me. I do not have a tree dog as of this writing but hope to remedy that very soon. I am in my early 50's married to the same young girl for the last 30 some odd years and have one daughter, one granddaughter 15 mnths and two grandsons 5 and 7. I raised beagles for a couple of years early on in life then switched to mostly walkers for about 20 years huntin them on deer, fox and yotes. I am a life long hunter but squirrel huntin was always the most fun and I find as I age I am drawn back to the simple things. I live in the middle of a Natl forest where I hobby farm for my grandkids sake and we grow sugar cane along with the row crops and last year set up our on cane mill and furnace.
As far as I can tell a squirrel dog is as scarce as hens teeth in this neck of the woods, I hope one day to change that. Not by becoming a full fledge kennel operator but by coming by just a few good dogs and then gifting pups to like minded freinds, yeah I said gifted. the cost of a good squirrel dog has kept me from having one most of my life while I was trying to work 80 hours a week to feed a family and too many hounds my aim is to get some young fellas and gals interested and get some squirrel dogs available to my freinds who like me have just plain got burned out on deer huntin and are ready to go back to where we all started.......chasin bushy tails.
sorry for the long winded intro, belive it or not I didn't even scratch the surface.
